Born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut, Michael Turell knows what it means to grow up in an environment designed to break you. Abusive home. Poverty. Depression. Anxiety. A mind that felt like a trap with no way out.
He didn't have a mentor. He didn't have a roadmap. He didn't have anyone standing in his corner telling him it was going to be okay. So he figured it out alone through the darkest seasons of his life, through the moments when giving up felt like the only option left.
He survived all of it. Then he wrote a book about it. Now he takes that story to stages across the country not to inspire people with empty words, but to show them living proof that no matter where you come from, no matter what was handed to you, survival is possible. Breakthrough is possible. Freedom is possible.
